Builder Daini has significantly improved the legislative and administrative framework of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, leading to positive advancements and enhancements within the local council development area.
Builder Daini Olusesan Mayokun, the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, has successfully concluded the construction of the Legislative and Administrative building. The building was officially commissioned by an active Member of the House of Representatives of Nigeria, representing the Ikorodu Federal Constituency in Lagos State on Monday, September 16th, 2024, at the Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.
This accomplishment signifies a noteworthy advancement in the legislative and administrative infrastructure within the locality, demonstrating a committed initiative to progress the infrastructure and governance within the community.
A series of dignitaries were there present to witness the event. Among the dignitaries are; the All Progressives (APC) Party Chieftain and Member of the Lagos State Governor Advisory Committee (GAC), Leader Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun; Ikorodu division APC superior Party Chieftain and GAC Member, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye; GAC Member and former Lagos-East Senatorial District Legislator, Senator “Prince” Adeseye Ogunlewe; Lagos State APC Party Chairman, Hon. “Pastor” Cornelius Ojelabi; APEX Leaders of Ikorodu Division; Ikorodu Division APC Party Chairman, Otunba Olasunkanmi Jimoh Tijani; Igbogbo/Baiyeku APC Party Chairman, Hon. “The aforementioned dignitaries expressed their commendation for Builder Daini’s success”.
Said, It’s impressive to see the support he has garnered from the stakeholders of the Ruling Party (APC), including prominent figures such as Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi, Otunba Olasunkanmi Jimoh Tijani, Hon. Taiwo Orenuga, Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson and His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Kasali Orimadegun, Emugoriade 1, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom. It’s clear that his leadership is valued and respected by many.
Builder Daini Olusesan Mayoku during his public address, said, It’s great to see the completion of this magnificent legislative and administrative building after over seven years of hard work. The dedication and commitment to providing a conducive environment for effective governance and service delivery is truly commendable. “The fact that the project was completed in just six months without any loans or debts is impressive and reflects a commitment to efficiency and excellence“.
The edifice boasts a 55-seater chamber, five councillors’ offices, a club office, provisions for three health departments, and 30 fully-equipped workstations. Additionally, the presence of 15 modern restrooms and 17 air-conditioned spaces underscores our commitment to providing state-of-the-art facilities that empower our elected representatives and staff to excel in their duties. As we conclude our second term in office, the completion of this project stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of our administration. It serves as a tangible representation of our tireless efforts to enhance the welfare of our constituents, with this building poised to serve as the epicentre of our ongoing initiatives.
He thereby extended his profound gratitude to every individual involved in every stage of this endeavour, from conception to realization. “Your unwavering diligence and perseverance have culminated in the fruition of these exceptional facilities”. Let us continue to harness this building as a catalyst for progress, innovation, and prosperity as we forge ahead in our collective pursuit of serving our community.
“I extend my sincerest appreciation, and may this achievement endure as an indelible symbol of our relentless commitment to the betterment of our constituents”, Builder Daini emphasised.
Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson’s speech delivery also pinpoint that the Legislative chamber is the heartbeat of democracy, where representatives of the people gather to debate, deliberate, and make laws that shape the community’s future. “A well-structured legislative chamber like this ensures accountability, transparency, and good governance, allowing the elected representative to effectively serve the people of Igbogbo/Baiyeku”.
Said, being the Ikorodu Federal constituency’s representative in the Federal House of Representatives, “I recognize the crucial role that a vibrant legislative chamber plays in driving development and progress”.
This chamber will provide a conducive environment for the Councillors to be able to achieve their mandates of legislation, representation and oversight. The legislative and administrative building is also expected to serve as the impetus for robust debate, passing resolutions, and making vital decisions that will propel the community to an enviable height in Lagos State.
He further emphasised that his greatest achievements since the people of Ikorodu division given their mandate are not just the 54 roads facilitated, over 8,000 home solar-powered systems or the number of blocks of classrooms, among others, but “The signing into law of unprecedented 5 bills he sponsored which was made possible by a conducive legislative environment“.
On a final note, he thereby urged everyone to persevere and support the government’s economic reforms towards a better Lagos State and Nigeria at large. “As we celebrate this achievement, let us remember that our work is far from over; we must continue to strive for excellence in governance”, he said.
His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Kasali Orimadegun, Emugoriade 1, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, expressed his royal endorsement of the prayers offered for Bildr. Daini Olusesan Mayokun, acknowledging his past and ongoing contributions.
His Majesty has extended an invitation to the leaders of the Igbogbo/Baiyeku community development association, following a recent event in the United States of America (USA) where diaspora citizens convened to commend Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, Mhr. for his significant economic development endeavours, presenting him with a distinguished award.
