The Oriokuta Youth Progressive Association has officially endorsed Honorable Olumide Adeleke Shofowora for the position of Ward B Councillor in the upcoming 2025 APC Primary Elections, which will take place within the Imota Local Council Development Area.
This endorsement was made during a strategic meeting convened at the residence of the Baale of the Oriokuta Community on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
At the meeting, Honorable Shofowora outlined his vision, referred to as the “ONWARD Agenda.” This agenda comprises various initiatives designed to benefit all residents of Ward B, with a particular focus on enhancing youth representation in governance.
Honorable Shofowora expressed his gratitude for the support received from the youth association, which reaffirmed its commitment to his candidacy.
Comrade Babatunde Idris Olatunji, President of the Oriokuta Youth Progressive Association, praised Honorable Shofowora’s demonstrated record of achievements and conveyed enthusiasm regarding his candidacy.
The meeting concluded with a visit to the Baale, during which Honorable Shofowora received Royal blessings, thereby further solidifying the youth’s support for his campaign as the prospective Councillor for Ward B in the Imota LCDA.
