Alhaji (Chief) Tijani-Ajalogun, Kamal-Deen Babatunde was born on the 3rd of August 1962 to the family of Late Alhaji (Chief) Yinusa Tijani-Ajalogun of Orukuja family and Chief (Mrs.) Tijani-Ajalogun M. R of Iwonlu family both from Itunmaja– Ikorodu.
He started his Elementary Education at Jamaitul Islamiyah Primary School, Ikorodu from 1969-1975. He proceeded to Government Teachers’ College, Igbogbo from 1976- 1981 to acquire a Grade 11 Teachers Certificate.
In 1982, he attended an Islamic Vacation Course where he was posted to a Secondary School to Teach Islamic Studies. Due to his zeal for Education, he was admitted to the Federal College of Education, Pankshin, Plateau State between 1984 to 1987, with a discipline in Wood Work/ Building Technology.
He later proceeded to obtained B.A ED, (Hons) Educational Administration from the University of Lagos, Akoka in 2002.
Alhaji Tijani-Ajalogun K. B. started his teaching career in 1981 at L.G Primary School, Bayeku. He was later posted to AUD Grammar School, Imota in 1982 to teach Islamic Studies, and briefly had a break in Service between 1984–1989.
In 1989, he got a fresh appointment and was posted to Odogunyan Grammar School, Ikorodu. He worked in various places amongst which are; Imota Community Grammar School, Imota, Government Technical College, Ikorodu, Ministry of Education (Planning, Research and Statistics Department) now Project Unit, Lagos State Scholarship Board, Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board and Office of Education Quality Assurance.
He Statutorily retired at the peak of his career (Director of Education/ Grade level 17).
Professional Membership:
He is a member of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
Political Career:
Alhaji Kabat was fondly called to engage in political activities fully from 1985 being an admirer of his mentor and amiable uncle, Asipa Kaoli Olatunji Olusanya.
He was the divisional youth leader of Club 80 of Nigeria, ward A3 secretary of the National Republican Convention (NRC), Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government Afenifere Unity Forum (AUF), Director General of OMOLUABI Group, Ikorodu Local Government, Party Secretary of Action Congress (AC), Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and pioneer LGA Secretary of All Progressive Congress (APC) respectively.
Alhaji Kabat was the Principal Coordinator of Hon. Abike Dabiri 3rd Term bid, which was won and the Director General of Team SOB of Hon. SOB Agunbiade (former Lagos State legislative majority leader, Lagos State House of Assembly) 4th Term bid, which was also won.
He was a member of the Presidential Campaign Committee (PCC) Contact and Mobilisation 2023 for the Presidential Election.
Today, Alhaji Kabat is the Ikorodu Divisional Legal Officer of All Progressive Congress (APC), Ikorodu Division.
Islamic and Community Participation:
Alhaji Kabat was turbaned as the Otun Balogun Adeen Olorunshogo Mosque, Itunmaja-Ikorodu, Seriki Adeen Oriwu Central Mosque, Ikorodu and the Branch Chairman ALMUBINS Society of Nigeria.
He won several awards for Islamic upliftment and Community Services. Presently, Alhaji Tijani-Ajalogun is the Vice Chairman of Ikorodu Oga Development Association (IKODASS), Member of CRYSTAL CLUB, IKORODU and Presently, the Vice President of The Magnificent Club of Ikorodu.
He is happily married with blessed Children.
