The Ikorodu-Oga Development Association (IKODASS) in synergy with the Kikiewa Social Club of Ikorodu has distributed over fifty (50) school uniforms to the Anglican Primary School pupils, located at Bab-sheriff, Aga, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria today, Thursday, September 26th, 2024 to help enhance the education background of the new generations through giving back to their community.

Having this done, the Kikiewa Social Club also thought of the children’s healthy lives by providing a water pumping machine through financial support to the same school to help promote a healthy environment, and conveniences to foster the 33rd edition of Ikorodu-Oga celebration for productive learning of the pupils.

In an interview with the President of the Kikiewa Social Club, Mrs Temitope Jokomba ably represented by her Vice, Mrs Omotolani Tijani said their thought of giving back to the vulnerable and primary school pupils in their community came through the economic hardship of the country, knowingfully well that everything is on the high side.

Seeing most of the pupils’ school uniforms looking tattered and torn makes them uncomfortable and moves them to do something about it regarding solution driving of the country.

Over One Hundred food palliative were distributed to the widows and needy within the Ogunfile street axis of Ita-Elewa and Anibaba area of Ikorodu.

In an interview with the IKODASS Chairman, Engr. Rotimi Erogbogbo said to appreciate the volunteers who had deemed it fit to think about the less privileged ones; “This shows that they are real parents”. Having a passion to develop and impact people’s lives in their community regardless of how little or much it is will go a long way. “Every drop counts“.

Urged everyone to bring their support to the development of the city, “Government alone can not do it”, looking at the Local, State and Federal budgets today you will get to see that every child is involved i.e. Primary School belongs to the children, Secondary School belong’s to the generation next to them, hospital and roads are part of the budgets. “It is our responsibility to also cater for ourselves as citizens. Encouraging the people to visit the primary schools, and secondary schools to provide for their needs is another platform for transformative changes. “IKODASS is for everybody,” he said.

He added that the parents should ensure that these children are catered for after school hours because the teachers are really doing their best to make sure they grow with the proper knowledge they deserve to get.

The teachers and the pupils thereby appreciated the Kikiewa Social Club of Ikorodu for finding them worthy to be beneficiaries of this privilege.
