The “Bobakeye Club of Ikorodu” in association with The Ikorodu-Oga Development Association (IKODASS) has distributed Over Five Thousand (5000) pieces of exercise books to the pupils of Ijomu Primary School and Anglican Primary School, located at Bab-sheriff area of Aga, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria yesterday, Thursday, September 26th, 2024 in a grand gesture of community Support and to encourage quality educational background of the new generations through giving back to their community.

In an interview with the President of the Bobakeye Club of Ikorodu, Chief Mrs Olaide Kamson, ably represented by her Vice, Alhaja Ewatomi Eruobodo along with a member, Alhaja Babayemisi Ronke said, this is their first edition of distributing buck of exercise book to help assist the vulnerable parents in the community through the educational initiative. “Having this established this year 2024 becomes a monthly task for the entire Bobakeye Club of Ikorodu“. Expect another unique educational support innovation and community concern solution driving for economic relief to promote peaceful coexistence within the communities.

Urged the parents to take advantage of their quota support by making sure they do their needful after school hours i.e. monitoring their notebooks and homework assignments and guiding them appropriately in the way they ought to go so that when they grow up, it will always be their guide.


In an interview with the IKODASS Chairman, Engr. Rotimi Erogbogbo said to appreciate the volunteers who had deemed it fit to think about the less privileged ones; âThis shows that they are real parentsâ. Having a passion to develop and impact peopleâs lives in their community regardless of how little or much it is will go a long way. âEvery drop countsâ.

Engr. Erogbogbo Lukman, IKODASS Chairman, urged everyone to bring their support to the development of the city, âGovernment alone can not do itâ, looking at the Local, State and Federal budgets today you will get to see that every child is involved i.e. Primary School belongs to the children, Secondary School belongâs to the generation next to them, hospital and roads are part of the budgets. âIt is our responsibility to also cater for ourselves as citizens. Encouraging people to visit primary and secondary schools to provide for their needs is another platform for transformative changes. âIKODASS is for everybody,
â he said.
He added that the parents should ensure that these children are catered for after school hours because the teachers are doing their best to ensure they grow with the proper knowledge they deserve.
The teachers and the pupils thereby appreciated the Ikorodu-Oga Development Association (IKODASS) and the Bobakeye Club of Ikorodu for finding them worthy of being beneficiaries of this privilege.
