Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA, who represents the Lagos East Senatorial District, participated in the culminating event of the 2024 Ipakodo Day, held at the Ipakodo/Ebute ferry terminal in Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria, on Saturday, October 5th, 2024.
During this event, Senator Abiru disclosed plans for forthcoming infrastructure projects in Ipakodo and its environs, specifically focusing on the construction of roads and schools.
The planned projects include the development of Apena Jimbo Street, Ojediran Street, and Ibuowo Street, as well as the rehabilitation and construction of classroom blocks at Ipakodo Primary School and Ipakodo Grammar School.
Furthermore, Senator Abiru highlighted the substantial impact of the SAIL Innovation Lab, an initiative of the SAIL Empowerment Foundation, which he and his wife, Mrs. Feyisola Abiru, have ardently supported. Situated in Ipakodo, Ikorodu, the lab has garnered global recognition and has been instrumental in transforming the lives of numerous young individuals through its impactful programs and employment opportunities.
The presence of esteemed royal figures, such as His Royal Majesty, HRM Oba Engr. At the event, Kabir Adewale Shotobi, The Ayangburen of Ikorodu, and other dignitaries further underscored the importance and widespread support for these initiatives.
