Ikorodu-Oga Development Association (IKODASS) under the leadership of Engr. Rotimi Akeem Erogbogbo in synergy with the Progressive Likeminds Club of Ikorodu, led by Alhaji Babajide Abdullahi, is proud to announce the commissioning of a reliable water source at the Muslim Primary School, located at No. 13 Etunrenren Street, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria, on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. This initiative addresses the health risks associated with inadequate water supply, thereby improving the learning environment for students and staff.
This project was facilitated by the Progressive Likeminds Club of Ikorodu under the Presidency and Members coordination of Alhaji Babajide Abdullahi. The Club was Founded in 2022, the Club has grown from ten to sixteen members and remains dedicated to community service.
President Alhaji Babajide Abdullahi highlighted the Club’s mission to give back to the community while promoting character and integrity among beneficiaries.
Club Secretary Mr Michael Adekoya noted that the commissioning event also celebrated the Club’s second anniversary and emphasized the need for sustainable solutions to community challenges. In addition to the water project, the Club awarded scholarships to the environment for pupils and staff.
The Club’s vision and objectives include:
- Advocacy for Healthy Living: Promoting social and cultural activities that foster a healthy lifestyle.
- Promotion of Peace: Fostering an environment of cooperation and harmony.
- Support for Vulnerable Groups: Assisting widows, orphans, and the less privileged.
- Lawful Community Engagement: Undertaking initiatives that enhance community well-being.
