Aarebirin Hon. Princess (Dr) Folashade Olabanji-Oba, the National Chairman of the Association of Local Government Vice Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGOVC) and Executive Vice-Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, was honoured with the APC Global Excellence Recognition Award on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. The ceremony was conducted in her office at the Ikorodu Local Government Secretariat, located in Lagos State, Nigeria.

This award acknowledges her outstanding leadership, steadfast dedication, and significant contributions to the advancement of the nation, as well as her extensive experience within the ruling party in the Diaspora.

The presentation of the award was made by the APC Support Group, represented by Alhaja Aolat Oluwatomisin Sule, the United Kingdom Women Leader; alongside Alhaji Adebowale Adeyemo, Chairman of G6, Ecowas Diaspora; Bello Adeniyi Mustapha, Exco, G6 Ecowas, APC Diaspora, Cotonou Chapter and others. The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including Alhaji Lawal Usman, Secretary General; Hon. Olawale Sulaimon, Public Relations Officer; Chairman Toyin Aliyu (Rtd), Ambassador G6; and several other esteemed members of the global community, all present to commend her remarkable achievements.

Assured Aarebinrin Dr Princess Folashade that they are in together with her for full support of her local government aspiration ambition come 2025.

Folashade Oba in her vote of thanks appreciated the presence of her visitors and thanked the United Kingdom APC Women’s Leader for finding her worthy of this honourary excellence award.

She said, “I am so delighted and overwhelmed to receive this award for my effective dedication to nation-building.” It reminded me of my little beginning.
