“A Vision for Community Development and Capacity Building in Ward D”.

Mr. Kara Mojeed Oluwaseun, a candidate for the position of councillor in Ward D of Ikorodu Local Government Area, has expressed a comprehensive vision focused on community and capacity building.

During a recent online interview with him today, Wednesday, December 11th, 2024, he outlined his commitment to fostering progressive change within the community.

As an accomplished architect with extensive expertise in architectural design, project management, procurement, and consultancy, Mr. Kara possesses a solid foundation for public service. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Lagos and Master’s degrees in Urban Design and Architecture from both the University of Lagos and Caleb University.

Mr. Kara’s professional career commenced in 2007 at Taiwo Kara & Associates, where he contributed to a variety of significant projects, including the procurement of the Tejuosho Modern Market and the design of primary healthcare facilities in Lagos State. He later joined DSL Architectural Firm, where he engaged in project development and consulting, and in 2012, he co-founded Karaex Konsult Ltd, where he serves as an Architect and Assistant Managing Director.

Membership in the Nigerian Institute of Architects (Lagos Chapter) and the Lions Club underscores Mr. Kara’s commitment to delivering contemporary architectural solutions and innovative project management practices. His specialization is centred on modern architecture in the construction industry.

If elected, Mr. Kara intends to facilitate enhancements in basic education, public sanitation, and health awareness, as well as promote skills training through collaboration with governmental offices and non-governmental organizations. He recognizes the distinct challenges faced by the residents of Ward D and is dedicated to engaging with the community through surveys, data collection, and town hall meetings to identify and prioritize developmental needs.

Mr. Kara emphasizes the critical importance of community engagement, transparency, and collaborative governance. He calls upon his fellow local government aspirants to prioritize public development as a collective goal for a promising future. His dedication to community service is foundational to his candidacy.
