In accordance with the directives from the Lagos State Leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the approval of the Ikorodu Divisional Apex Leader, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, a “High Powered Reconciliation Committee” headed by Oloye Oye Solebo and supported by notable and respected leaders in the likes of Chief Babatunde Tajudeen Rotinwa, a former Head of Service in Lagos State; Honorable Lanre Balogun, former Lagos State Commissioner for Rural Development; Honorable Rotimi Ogunleye, a journalist, lawyer, and former Lagos State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development; Honorable Sanai Agunbiade, former Majority Leader in the Lagos State House of Assembly (in absentia); Deaconess Wonuola Aderibigbe Oshinowo, APC Lagos East Senatorial Women; Alhaji R.I. Jinodu, a former Ikorodu Local Government Area APC Chairman and former chairmanship aspirant; along with other distinguished leaders has convened a meeting with the Aspirants who contested for the chairmanship position in the Ikorodu Local Government Area.
The reconciliation meeting was held on May 28, 2025, at the APC Party Secretariat in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
During this assembly, over twelve aspirants expressed their endorsement of Hon. Prince Adebayo Ladega as the APC Chairmanship Candidate, alongside Hon. Babawale Bisiriyu Alogba as Vice-Chairman.
The primary objective of the gathering was to promote collaboration in anticipation of the 2025 local government elections and the 2027 Presidential elections.
Prominent attendees among the Aspirants included Aarebinrin Dr. Princess (Hon.) Folashade Olabanji-Oba, Vice Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government and National Chairperson of the Nigerian Vice Chairmen’s Forum; Hon. Adebowale Ajayi, Leader of the House, Ikorodu Local Government; Comrade Japheth Odesanya (Kolujo), former Secretary of Ikorodu Local Government; Hon. Prince Gbadebo Taofeek Oluwafemi, Chairman of the Lagos Judiciary Union; and others
The Aspirants collectively urged the Party leadership to uphold a God-fearing approach in Elections emphasising the importance of recognizing and rewarding party loyalists.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, fostering optimistic prospects for the future.
