The Lagos State Government, through the Office of Rural Development under the supervision of Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development has officially convened a stakeholders’ interactive meeting in the Ikeja Division.

This meeting took place on September 16, 2025, with the presence of the entire management staff from the Office of Rural Development.

In attendance were Mr. Babatunde Durojaiye, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Rural Development, the members of the Community Development Committee (CDC) and the Chairpersons of Community Development Associations (CDA) in Igbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area. The meeting aimed to address environmental safety and enhance community engagement for sustainable development.

Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, stressed the importance of community stakeholders in grassroots development and safety, highlighting effective communication as crucial for harmony. He informed attendees about the Federal and State Governments’ efforts to improve voter registration and urged leaders to facilitate the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) initiative, particularly for newly eligible voters.
Dr. Agbaje acknowledged the vital role of CDA Chairpersons in conveying governmental policies to the community, affirming their importance in achieving development goals.

The Lagos State Ministry’s mission focuses on community empowerment and grassroots governance in alignment with the governor’s T.H.E.M.E.S Plus agenda.
