The Ikorodu-Oga Heritage Development Association (IHDA), chaired by High Chief Asiwaju Semiu Shokunbi, together with the Ikorodu-Oga Association in the United Kingdom and Ireland, led by their President, Aare Isiaka Abayomi Olaribigbe (Soku), also known as Lastampa,
has hosted an official welcome dinner for His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, the Adegorunshen V and Paramount Ruler of the Ikorodu Kingdom, along with Her Royal Majesty, Olori Abosede Kudirat Shotobi, the esteemed Treasurer of the Ikorodu Division.
This event took place at Empire Lounge (Restaurant), No. 777 Old Kent Road, London, SE15 1NZ, United Kingdom, on Sunday, October 5, 2025 with forty pounds (£40) entry fee.
This gathering aimed to express their enduring love, warm welcome, and deep appreciation for His Royal Majesty’s presence among them.
During his speech, High Chief Asiwaju Semiu Shokunbi, the Chairman of IHDA, emphasized the significance of the dinner, stating that it was an opportunity to express their deep appreciation for Kabiyesi and to warmly welcome His Royal Majesty into their London community.
His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, responded appreciatively to the intentional speech delivered by High Chief Asiwaju Semiu Shokunbi. He praised the collaboration between the Ikorodu-Oga Heritage Development Association (IHDA) and the Ikorodu-Oga Association (IOA) United Kingdom and Ireland, led by President Aare Isiaka Abayomi Olaribigbe (Soku), also known as Lastampa, stating, I felt it was fantastic.
