Additionally, five certified tertiary graduates were offered employment among the participating individuals during the distribution of Aapo-Anu’s event held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at his constituency office, located at Plot 48, Ebute-Igbogbo Road, off Sholebo Gate, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria.

The process of selection of beneficiaries was online, and one-on-one outreach/visitation to underdeveloped areas in Ikorodu division by members of iCare Foundation.

The categories of individuals selected included:

“Widows, Elderly ones, The underprivileged and others”.

The iCare Foundation is at the core of Honorable Babajimi Benson’s dedication to improving lives and fostering equity within the Ikorodu Federal Constituency.

This initiative aims to empower individuals and promote community development through impactful programs such as the iCare FoodBank and Job Portal.

In an interview, Representative Benson stated: “The monthly distribution of Mercy Bags is intended for vulnerable individuals in the Ikorodu Division.” He referred to the guidance of His Excellency President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed, who expressed that one of his greatest joys is assisting children from underprivileged backgrounds and providing them with opportunities that they would otherwise not have access to.

In this spirit, Representative Benson has proposed employment opportunities in Abuja for these individuals, believing that such opportunities will enable them to grow in their careers and support their families.

“We are committed to ongoing commissioning of infrastructural road development in the Ikorodu division,” he noted.

Representative Benson expressed the intention to commission as many projects as possible, acknowledging the anticipated visit of the President in December, and also extended a request for the President to grace one of the significant commissioning events, particularly concerning the funerator road.

Furthermore, he conveyed appreciation to the Minister of Works for the special attention granted to Ikorodu in this administration, affirming his commitment to the welfare of the constituency.
