The Ikorodu Constituency II councillors has officially visited Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, on October 24, 2025, at the Alausa Secretariat in Ikeja, Lagos State.

The Ikorodu Constituency II jurisdiction consists of Igbogbo-Bayeku LCDA, Ijede LCDA, and Imota LCDA with a total number of thirteen (13) councillors.

Five (5) geopolitical wards makes Igbogbo-Bayeku LCDA, Four (4) wards make Ijede LCDA, while Imota LCDA also have Four (4) wards in the total number of 13 councillors representing Ikorodu Constituency II. 

This visit aimed to discuss developmental priorities for the 2026 fiscal budget and demonstrate their commitment to grassroots development.

Led by Hon. Adeshina Ademola Oluwole, the Chairman of the Ikorodu Division Councillors’ Forum, the councillors presented their proposals, including rural electrification, road rehabilitation, and youth empowerment. 

Hon. Adeshina emphasized the need for alignment with the Lagos State Government’s objectives under Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.

Dr. Agbaje praised the councillors for their proactive approach and unity, highlighting the importance of collaboration between local legislators and the state government for sustainable development. 

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to infrastructure and rural development, assuring the councillors of support for their initiatives in road construction and community empowerment programs.
