The Office of Rural Development, headed by Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Aduragbemi Sanwoolu has facilitated and distributed brand-new transformers to the following communities in the Ikorodu division: “Heritage Estate CDA in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Golden Paradise Estate in Mowokekere, Ewu-Agbo Community in Agura, and Iradelu Itesiwaju Community in Imota LCDA”.

This distribution took place on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, and Wednesday, October 29, 2025, as part of Governor Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES Plus Agenda under the Rural Electrification Initiative.

The Rural Electrification Initiative is a key component of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES Plus Agenda, designed to promote sustainable development in underserved areas throughout Lagos State. The vision for Lagos State’s rural development is to create a “Greater Lagos” where rural areas are not neglected but are integrated into the state’s prosperity.

During the delivery of the transformers, the Community Development Association (CDA) Chairmen—Mr. Basiru Alami (Heritage Estate CDA), Mr. Abolaji Oladeinde Frederick (Golden Paradise Estate CDA), Mr. Femi Taiwo (Ewu-Agbo Community), and Mr. Jimoh Sanmi (Iradelu Itesiwaju CDA)—expressed their profound appreciation to the Lagos State Governor for bringing the dividends of democracy to their communities.

They also commended the Office of Rural Development for promptly approving and distributing the transformers following their letters of request and the subsequent on-site needs assessments conducted to verify eligibility.

Signed:
Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje,
Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Rural Development.
