In commemoration of the World Cities Day, the Lagos State Office of Rural Development under the leadership of Hon. Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, Special Adviser to His Excellency Governor Babajide Olusola Aduragbemi Sanwoolu on Rural Development, has sustainably driven and integrated development in Lagos State rural and suburban areas to ensure no communities are left behind in benefiting from the dividends of democracy.

In this regard, Hon. Dr Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje appreciates all the citizens of Lagos State for believing and cooperating with the theme plus agenda of His Excellency Governor B.O.A. Sanwoolu in respect to his slogan, “Inclusive Governance”.

World Cities Day raises awareness about global urbanisation, its challenges, and the importance of sustainable urban development through international cooperation. It is a platform to promote solutions for creating inclusive, safe, resilient, and equitable cities for all. 

The Lagos State Office of Rural Development is responsible for planning, devising, and implementing the state’s policies for the sustainable and integrated development of its rural and suburban communities. 

“It requires processes, all your pressing needs in the communities will be attended to.”
