The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Lagos East Senatorial District under the Lagos State Charpter, has organised a “Fireside Chat” with Hon. Prince Abdullateef Adedayo Ladega, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government Area in commemoration of the 2025 International Youth Day, themed— “LOCAL YOUTH ACTION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GROWTH AND BEYOND” at the Ikorodu LGA Secretariat Hall, T.O.S. Benson road, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria on Saturday (today) August 30, 2025 with the presence of the Chairman of the NYCN, Lagos State Chapter, Engr. Adigun Ibrahim Olamilekan, Comrade Asoro Abubakri Olatunji, Acarb, Lagos East NYCN Vice Chairman and the Youth Coordinator of Ikorodu-West LCDA as well as the host of the day, Ikorodu LGA Youth acting coordinator, Comrade Olorunbe Boluwatiwi Islamiat in promoting the NYCN Lagos East Senatorial District at the local level with His Excellency Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu’s T.H.E.M.E.S + Agenda.
The THEMES Plus Agenda for Lagos State is an expansion of the original T.H.E.M.E.S. Agenda, which stands for Transportation, Health & Environment, Education & Technology, Making Lagos a 21st Century Economy, Entertainment & Tourism, and Security & Governance.
The “Plus” adds crucial dimensions of youth engagement, gender equality, and social inclusion to the existing pillars, further advancing the state’s development goals.
