The Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, has appraised Hon. Abiodun Moshood Aro (AMA), member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ikorodu Constituency II, describing him as a legislator who gets the job done and keeps faith with his slogan, “When you see AMA, you will smile.”
Dr. Agbaje made the comments on Thursday, September 4, 2025, during the 10th Annual Ikorodu Constituency II Stakeholders’ Meeting, which drew political leaders, traditional rulers, community stakeholders, students, and residents from across Ijede, Imota, and Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Areas.
He noted that Hon. Aro’s unrelenting lobbying for developmental projects has made him a dependable bridge between his constituency and the Lagos State Government, earning him the respect and friendship of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
“Hon. Abiodun Moshood Aro is a legislator who delivers. He never relents in lobbying for projects to be channelled to his constituency.”
“His drive and consistency have made him not only a strong voice for Ikorodu but also a good friend of Mr. Governor,” Agbaje stated.
Reassuring residents of Ikorodu Constituency II, the Special Adviser emphasised that Hon. Aro has consistently demonstrated the capacity to meet the demands of his office and will continue to deliver quality representation.
“The people of Ikorodu should have no worries. Hon. Aro has proven he is equal to every task under his legislative responsibilities.”
“My office will always be ready to synergise with him to bring more dividends of democracy to Ikorodu Constituency II,” Dr. Agbaje added.
The statement comes against the backdrop of Hon. Aro’s track record in grassroots impact, including job placements for youths, scholarships, road rehabilitation, provision of transformers, vocational training, healthcare interventions, and community electrification projects.
The Special Adviser also used the platform to highlight additional strides of the Lagos State Government through the Office of Rural Development in the constituency.
He listed transformer distributions, solar streetlight installations, and ongoing road construction projects as part of efforts to complement Hon. Aro’s interventions and improve infrastructure across the area.
Residents and stakeholders at the meeting welcomed Dr. Agbaje’s assurance of collaboration, expressing optimism that the partnership between the legislator and the Office of Rural Development would further accelerate growth and improve living standards across Ikorodu Constituency II.
