In the ongoing initiative focused on youth capacity building within Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Honourable Lukman Olumoh, the representative for Ajeromi-Ifelodun Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has successfully facilitated a vocational skills training program for one hundred youths.
This program encompassed various disciplines including barbing, catering, website design, fashion design, phone repairs, computer training, and tailoring, among others.
Upon the conclusion of this training, Honourable Lukman Olumoh hosted an event on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, after the flag-off ceremony for the 200-meter road construction on Sanni Street in Ifelodun LCDA.
During this event, ten exemplary participants from the cohort of one hundred trainees were selected for special recognition.

On behalf of Honourable Lukman Olumoh, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, the Special Adviser on Rural Development to His Excellency Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, presented a monetary reward of one hundred thousand naira (₦100,000) to each of the ten outstanding trainees. In addition, a sum of fifty thousand naira (₦50,000) was allocated to the instructors who devoted their time to imparting essential skills and promoting self-reliance among the participants.

These cash rewards were granted in recognition of the participants’ newly acquired skills and to emphasize that idleness may lead to unproductive outcomes.
