To Turn the Corner under the administration of the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina with the legislative Arm, Staff and Management have flagged off the construction of dual drainages from Obun-Ale through Ajina Market yesterday, Monday, January 27th, 2025 at the Lion Junction, Itun-Nla, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria.

Being a geopolitical jurisdiction of Ward C that consists of the Oriwu Centre Mosque and Centre Church of Methodist, the community deserves to feel the dividend of democracy for a modern standard tourist environment.

Adesina in his statement affirmed his name as Adugbogbemi because of the environment was where he was groomed and Grew up from. “I am fulfilled with the road and drainages commencement of Itun-Nla, Ajina, and Ita-Elewa including the ongoing construction of 19 legislative buildings in Ikorodu local government etc”, he said.

Assures the completion of the ongoing construction of the legislative to be completed in two months time, “I will make sure the councillor seats before I assumes my administrative office”, Adesina said.

The calculation measurement of Obun-Ale to Ajina market drainages for it right part, is equal to 381 metres, while the other side measurement equals to same 381 metres; The total calculated landscape measurement is equal to 762 metres.

Aare-Binrin (Chief) Folashade Olabanji-Oba in her statement especially appreciate the Executive Chairman for the remarkable impact on infrastructural development in the Ikorodu local government, and appreciates the Council Manager, Staff and management for their effective dedication toward sustainable development.

The Leader of the House, Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Adebowale Ajayi attested to the fact that Adesina has never been biased in terms of the Infrastructural development across Ikorodu Central and appreciates everyone in attendance.

The project was assigned to Hon. Banwo Azeez, a former councillor representing Ward D in synergy with the CDA Chairman, Prince Ademola Jimoh Alagbe and its Exco members including the support of the Itun-Nla Connect Youths. 

Secretary to the local government, Hon. Lateef Affini in his address urged the Youth of Itun-Nla Connect to ensure that the project is attainable, buttressed by the Youth as they affirmed their support and supervision of the project from the start till it completion.

Councillor representing Ward C, Hon. Omotayo Awolesi in his welcome remarks, appreciates the community stakeholders and the good people of Ward C for their presence to witness the progress of the community. And also thank Hon. Adesina for considering the community worthy of the beneficiary of the dividend of democracy. 

Adesina assures completion duration to be 3 months. And as Oliver Twist, also announced its Federal Government “Water project” facilitation which said to be monitored by the councillor representing Ward C, Hon. Omotayo Awolesi.

It has been said by the Executive Chairman that the water project will be in Itun-Nla, Muleruwa Compound, Itundofin, Itunwolo etc. and attested that the councillor will make it a one-way drive project. “This water project is a federal government project”, facilitated by Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina through the need to do so by Hon. Omotayo Awolesi.

The distribution of the Jamb form for those who are interested was also announced by Adesina to ensure both youth and adults enjoyed the dividend of democracy. 

Additionally, he urged the good people of Ward C under Ikorodu local government to endeavour to go and register their NIN as well as to make sure they all have their Permanent Voters’ cards ready in preparation for the coming 2025 local government and 2027 Presidential Election. “This will serve as a feedback appreciation to the government in attraction for more development”. Adesina encouraged.
