The Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Justice Forum, led by Alhaji Jimoh Odidi and under the chairmanship of Hon. Adewusi Sulaimon, convened its annual political party celebration on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025.
The event was held at the party’s secretariat situated at Lucky Fibre Bus Stop, Ikorodu-North LCDA, Lagos State, Nigeria. Notable political leaders attended, including Alhaji Jimoh Odidi, the Apex Leader of the APC-Justice Forum; Hon. Adaramola Bola, the Justice Forum Women Leader for Ikorodu North LCDA;
Mrs Abiola Soaga JP, member CWC justice forum; Chief S.k Olowu CWC member,
Alhaja Kunrumi (vice Chairman); Alhaja Alimi Kehinde CWC member; Mr. Femi Ogunade (The youth leader); and Hon. Ameen Olawale Apanishile, the Justice Forum Treasurer for Ikorodu North LCDA.
Additionally in attendance, Hon. Aruna-Ishola Balogun; CWC Justice Forum member; Mrs. Bakare Aderonke, Ikorodu-North Justice Forum Secretary; Hon. Ambali Olutunsin, the Supervisory Councilor for Works in Ikorodu-North LCDA, along with Hon. Olugbenga Oshin, Lagos East Justice Forum leader, who honoured the occasion.
The gathering aimed to promote unity and collaboration among political aspirants for chairmanship and councilorship positions, as well as among party members. This initiative serves to enhance peaceful coexistence within the political landscape of Ikorodu-North LCDA.
This annual celebration has been held for a decade, aiming to signify the commencement of the year 2025 while promoting the pivotal role of the ruling Party in both Lagos and Nigeria as a whole.
In a welcome address delivered by the Chairman, Hon. Adewusi Sulaimon, he emphasized the importance of fostering an environment of love and respect among members, particularly in light of the challenges presented by the current political landscape.
He stated, “It is imperative that we conduct ourselves with dignity and integrity, remaining acutely aware of the principles that unite us.” He expressed gratitude for the guidance and support provided by the leaders, remarking, “Your leadership has played a pivotal role in transforming Ikorodu-North LCDA into a vibrant and dynamic organization.”
In celebrating the onset of the New Year, he encouraged all attendees to reaffirm their commitment to the values upheld by the Justice Forum, advocating for collaboration in the pursuit of a brighter future for themselves, the community, and the nation as a whole.
During a speech delivered by Honorable Olugbenga Oshin, State Vice Chairman Lagos East senatorial District, notably affirmed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) Justice Forum has established itself as the leading political party, characterized by a record of significant achievements.
The speech also acknowledged the contributions of the Ikorodu Division APC Justice Forum leader, Elder Statesman Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, who serves as a member of the Governance Advisory Committee. His efforts have been instrumental in fostering peaceful coexistence and promoting equity within the APC party at large.
The Honorable Jimoh Odidi, an APEX Leader of the APC-Justice Forum in Ikorodu-North LCDA, delivered a speech in which he urged candidates aspiring for the positions of Chairperson and Councillor to refrain from exhibiting desperation in their pursuit. He acknowledged that all individuals seeking these positions possess the necessary qualifications; however, only one individual will ultimately be appointed as the next Chairperson of Ikorodu-North LCDA, alongside the Councillor positions available within the respective wards under their jurisdiction.
He emphasized that political aspirations should not be perceived as life-or-death endeavors, advocating instead for a spirit of peaceful coexistence among the candidates.
The Honorable Ameen Olawale Apanishile, Treasurer of the Justice Forum for Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area, has provided New Year gifts to the grassroots members of the APC-Justice Forum Group.
This gesture is in recognition of their unwavering commitment and consistent attendance at political meetings.
The Youth Leader of Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mr. Femi Ogunade with others honored Alhaji (Hon.) Jimoh Odidi, the APEX Leader of the APC-Justice Forum Group in Ikorodu North LCDA, along with Hon. Adewusi Sulaimon, the Chairman of the APC-Justice Forum Group of Ikorodu North, through the presentation of the Leadership Excellence Awards.
