The All Progressives Congress (APC) held their Ward B General Meeting on Friday, February 28, 2025, at their political gathering space located on Solomade Palace Street, Solomade Estate, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria.

The meeting was attended by prominent political leaders, grassroots members, and the 2025 Ikorodu Local Government aspirants contesting for the position of Executive Chairman.

This meeting focused on the importance of registering for APC membership and the necessity of registering their National Identification Number (NIN) to obtain the Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC). This is essential for being a patriotic citizen of Lagos State, Nigeria, as they prepare to exercise their franchise in the upcoming 2025 local government elections.

Pastor Kehinde Ayanbadejo (JP), the Ikorodu LGA APC secretary, emphasized the importance of the APC membership card and PVC.

He stated that attending the meeting without formally registering names will be deemed invalid, as the attendance list is essential for the ruling party’s record-keeping and accountability purposes.

Pastor Ayanbadejo educated the grassroots political members on the importance of the Permanent Voter Card (PVC) as an ongoing process. He emphasized that without a PVC, they would be unable to vote, and if they did not vote, it would forfeit their right to voice complaints. This implies that individuals in such a situation would be regarded as unproductive members of the Party.

Pastor Ayanbadejo clarified that individuals who have their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) ready and can successfully use the electronic card reader will be able to exercise their voting rights on election day. However, those who have relocated to a different area, as well as individuals with issues related to their PVCs—such as damage or fading—should make an effort to re-register their PVCs at the nearest electoral office before the election date.

Before this, the 2025 local government aspirants contesting for the Executive Chairman’s position, Comrade Japhet Odesanya and Prince Adedayo Ladega, have formally declared their intent to run for the position if they are considered for the role of the next Executive Chairman of Ikorodu LGA.
