In honour of the holy month of Ramadan and the 72nd birthday of Alhaja Ejide Hassan Bolade, the Iya Adinni of Kajola Mosque located in Itamito, Ijomu, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria, a Ramadan public lecture was organized to commemorate this significant milestone.

The event took place on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Kajola Mosque, conveniently situated adjacent to her family heritage residence in Itamuto, Ijomu, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria.

The highlight of the occasion was a lecture delivered by Alhaji Abdulwasiu Hamzat, the Chief Imam of Ifelodun Central Mosque, Ikorodu.

Alhaja Ejide Hassan Bolade was born on March 15, 1953, at the Olokunola compound, commonly referred to as Bottle’s compound, in Ijomu, Ikorodu, Lagos.

The celebration attracted an assembly of dignitaries from various sectors of global business, both locally and internationally, who gathered to express their gratitude to Almighty Allah for the opportunity to witness another Ramadan Mubarak, a period characterized by holiness and blessings.

During the public lecture, Alhaji Abdulwasiu Hamzat emphasized three vital considerations regarding birthday celebrations:
1. The day of one’s birth,
2. The day of one’s passing,
3. The day one finds oneself beneath the grave.
The lecture referenced Surat Maryam, verses 14 and 15, which state, “Peace be upon His people on the day of their birth, death, and resurrection.” The Chief Imam underscored the necessity for consistency in the five daily prayers, known as Salah, which are performed at specific intervals throughout the day:
1. Fajr (dawn),
2. Dhuhr (noon),
3. Asr (afternoon),
4. Maghrib (sunset), and
5. Isha (night).
These prayers serve as a means to acknowledge Allah’s blessings, to remember Him frequently, and to express gratitude for His generosity through zakat.

Chief Imam Ifelodun asserted, “Service to Almighty Allah is paramount.”

Special prayers were offered for Alhaja Shine-Shine, in recognition of her unwavering support during critical times.

Among the assembled businesswomen, tycoons, and distinguished guests, Alhaja Shine-Shine announced that the next meeting would be convened at the Ikorodu Town Hall, which is easily accessible for those travelling from distant locations. Additionally, the Chief Imam of Kajola Mosque, Itamito, Ijomu, Ikorodu, suggested that the Eid praying ground located on Obafemi Awolowo Way, Oke Ota-Ona, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria, could serve as an alternative venue.

The host, Alhaja Ejide Sanni, extended her wishes for a joyful Ramadan Mubarak to all attendees, stating, “The festivities of this holy month bring happiness and joy to your lives.”
She imparted a final blessing, wishing that the virtues of Ramadan would be bestowed upon all, and prayed for the acceptance of their prayers and fasts.

The celebration concluded with the ceremonial cutting of the birthday cake, attended by family members, friends, and well-wishers, following an invocation in Allah’s name.
