The iCare Foundation, spearheaded by Honorable Babajimi Adegoke Benson, Mhr, Member of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the Committee on Defence, alongside his Wife, Olori Adejumoke Benson, through the efforts of the Director General, Mayor Muyideen Sanwoola, has officially distributed over seven hundred (700) food packs, tagged as Apo Anu, to vulnerable individuals across Ikorodu Division on March 22, 2025.

This event took place at the Ikorodu Federal Constituency office, situated at Plot 48, Ebute-Igbogbo Road, off Sholebo Estate gate, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria.

This initiative marks the second distribution of Apo Anu within the month, aligning with the observance of Ramadan for Muslims and Lent for Christians, aiming to assist the vulnerable population in a non-partisan manner.

This program is strategically designed to extend support to the needy within the Ikorodu Division and has been in operation since 2016 to commemorate World Food Day, thereby reaffirming its commitment to aid those in need throughout the Ikorodu Division.

Ikorodu Division consists of Ikorodu LGA, Ikorodu-West LCDA, Ikorodu-North LCDA, Igbogbo-baiyeku LCDA, Ijede LCDA, and Imota LCDA.

Beneficiaries were selected through a randomized process that included online registration nominations and the physical distribution of Apo Anu tickets to those in need.

Two hundred individuals were identified through online submissions, while over five hundred individuals benefited from direct ticket allocations.
